We Live Here and We Want the World to Know that Tom DeLay Does Not Represent Our Values
The portions of Fort Bend, Brazoria, Harris and Galveston Counties in Texas 22:
People living in the 22nd Congressional District in Texas are waking up to the realization that the rest of our nation, and in fact the world, are associating them with the corrupted ethical values of their elected legislator. Texas 22 has become a code phrase for corrupt government in political dialog and political drama.
People ask: “How could such a man keep getting elected?” We want the world to know it was a mistake of our past, and we will not sleep on our rights any more.
Proof of the fact that this district will no longer support his corrupt and wrongful conduct lies in the clear voting changes in 2004. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents changed their historic voting pattern. People in his home county dropped their support from 65% to 52%. He lost one county. The other three counties are in play.
We cannot win in 2006, if we wait until 2006. If there ever was a time to gather resources to take on the most corrupt influence in our politics, now is the time.
